Subspace: I’m kind of excited about the G.I. Joe movie they’re making.
Hal: What, a cartoon?
Subspace: No, it’s real.
Hal: But… who is going to be the Cobra Commander?
Subspace: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the guy from Brick.
Hal: He’s twelve years old!
Subspace: He’s a man now. Anyway, they released photos of what the good ninja, Snake Eyes looks like.
Hal: Oh yeah?
Subspace: Yeah, he looks cool. But they didn’t show the bad ninja. I can’t remember what he’s called.
Hal: Snake Butt.
Subspace: Yes, right, Snake Butt: where is he? You can’t find him. He’s like a snake’s butt.
Hal: Are you even sure you’ve found him when you do?

cobra’s ninja was Storm Shadow. I always admired that they put the good guy in black and the bad guy in white. Snake eyes, though, was any gi joe fan’s prized possession. He came with a friggin’ wolf, man. And his gun was cool. and he’s being played by the darth mail dude, which given the way that guy moves is almost certainly great casting. I think it could be neat, especially if they focus on the heyday, when the cartoon as on. And for the record the more I think about the cobra commander casting the more it makes sense.
Storm Shadow, right!
From what I’ve read the movie is going to be an origins story, so no heyday. Overall the casting seems solid, but the Gordon-Levitt thing is inspired. Hal disagrees with me completely, but I think that kid can act.
brick was amazing. I credit lukas haas more, but JGL was cool.
Oh, don’t even get me started on Lukas Haas. Ask BattleGate: I have a powerful nerdylady crush on him.
Cloaca! His name was Snake Cloaca.
I wanna play the part of the old man ninja, Ginkgo biloba.
Talk about inspired casting … I’d be perfect!
Apelad, you crazy.
